Our initial technical audit revealed that the core issues stemmed from slow database queries, inefficient indexing strategies, and inadequate caching policies, which severely limited scalability and spiked server load. To address this, we rebuilt the platform from the ground up, redesigning the database schema, implementing optimized query structures, and leveraging advanced indexing techniques. We also introduced layered caching (application-level and CDN-based) to ensure faster content delivery.
The new platform was engineered to handle high traffic spikes with minimal latency, integrated with a dual-tier content model—free access to general news to maximize reach, and a nominal subscription for premium content to generate sustainable revenue. The Android app was redesigned with intuitive navigation, real-time content synchronization, and a robust CMS backend for streamlined editorial workflows.
